I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now that Thanksgiving day is officially over, I feel like I can begin to get into the Christmas spirit. When I got married last year, I wanted a fall wedding. We really wanted to have an October wedding, but since we live in Louisiana and are threatened by hurricanes, we decided to do it after hurricane season was over just to be perfectly safe. We chose to have the wedding the Saturday after Thanksgiving so that my husband's family from out of town could be here with all the kids. Unfortunately, though, it didn't feel like "fall" by the time our wedding rolled around and I was so upset that everyone was already decorating for Christmas while I was still having a brown and orange fall theme wedding. So every year I make it a point not to put out a single decoration for Christmas until after our anniversary has passed. Fall is my favorite season and it's unfair to just push it aside so soon because everyone wants to celebrate Christmas in November! '
