For those of you who like animal fur – looks like these shoes are made of pony hair… yep, you read that correctly! Pony hair! Poor pony  :o(

All this talk about pony hair makes me think of the name of our website. I guess I should explain. A painted pony purse is a purse made out of leather and pony hair and the pony hair is painted, usually brown and white. Another type of painted pony purse is made out of printed cowhide and yet another definition refers to the type of animal print pattern that is printed on various purses and accessories. It’s usually found in Western collections. I think we picked it because we liked the alliteration of the P’s, and we love purses and thought it would be a great conversation-starting name!
