After 5 fun-filled, yet freezing days in New York, we're back. We had a great time. One of our favorite things was attending a taping of Conan O'Brien! Before the show, Conan came out to say hi to the audience, and since Chad and I had amazing seats in the front, Conan noticed Chad immediately. Chad was asked to "get up and dance!" and to give Conan, Max Weinburg, and the guy behind us a hug! Max Weinburg, the drummer and lead of the band, gave Chad his drumsticks. It was really great! We didn't make it on television, but that was okay. I'd much rather get to shake Conan's hand than to be a spot in the crowd on TV.

We also went to see our first Broadway play, All My Sons, with Katie Holmes, John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, and Patrick Wilson. We both thought it was great. We were 8 rows from the stage and it was amzing to see those actors up close. I just read one of my favorite blogs and found out that the very next day after we after we saw the play, Victoria and David Beckham went to the same play

We did all the touristy things, like went to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Times Square, Macy's (we went through all 11 floors) and the Rockefeller center. We took the NBC Studios tour and saw the set of SNL and the Today show. We also went to the Top of the Rock, instead of the Empire State building, because when I first went to NY we did the Empire State building and it took 2 hours and wasn't even worth it because they had bars blocking your view. But the Top of the Rock had no wait time and had unobstructed open-air views of the city. It was amazing. We went around 4:00pm to make sure to catch the daylight, twilight, sunset, and night views of the city. We also had tickets to see the Rockette's Christmas show at Radio City Music Hall, which was beautiful!

Like I said previously, my husband and I went through all 11 floors of Macy's. It's the largest store and it takes up an entire city block. The first floor was decorated so beautifully for Christmas and it looked more like a hotel than a department store. We checked out Dooney & Burke's purse collection and their giraffe print line. I am amazed that the quality of these purses is comparable to the quality of our line of our giraffe print purses! I love my giraffe print handbag. And I'm so glad I could get the high-quality look at such an affordable price. D&B sells for $395! Ours is $29.99!! (For a limited time, we are having a Black Friday sale and reduced ALL of our merchandise! So go shopping at handbagbug.com from the comfort of your own home!)

I'll leave you with a few pictures of New York. Happy Holidays!

Since the reason for the trip is that it's our 1 year wedding anniversary, the last picture is of the top of our wedding cake that we saved.  :o)
